According to John Dreker of Pirates Prospects, the Pirates have promoted pitcher Dario Agrazal from the Bradenton Marauders to the Altoona Curve.
Since being signed by the Pirates out of Panama in 2013, Agrazal is one of the best control pitchers in the system, and that trend has continued in 2017, posting a very impressive 1.1 BB/9.
In 80.1 innings pitched this season for the Marauders, Agrazal has put up an ERA of 2.91, along with a 2.86 Fielding Independent Pitching and a 55% groundball rate. He has also improved his strikeout numbers this year, with a 7.1 K/9, which is better than the 5.3 K/9 he posted last season for the West Virginia Power.
