According to ESPN’s Buster Olney, the Pirates will be calling up Tyler Glasnow, and he will make his debut on Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.
Glasnow has been the Pirates top prospect in the organization since the beginning of last season. The 22-year-old right-hander came into this year rated the eighth best prospect in all of baseball according to MLB Pipeline.
This season for AAA Indianapolis, Glasnow has been dominant again, posting a 1.78 ERA, while limiting opposing batters to a .176 average. His 113 strikeouts was tops in the International League.
