The Pirates have announced that they have agreed to sign Braeden Ogle for $800,000, which is well above the slot amount ($425,700).

Ogle was selected in the fourth round by the Pirates in this year’s draft out of Jensen Beach High School, located in Jensen Beach, Florida. The 6’2, 170 lb left-hander had been committed to pitching at the University of Florida prior to the draft. Ogle certainly has very good upside, as his fastball sits low-to-mid-90’s, topping out at 96 mph, while he compliments it with a power curveball.
