Pirates Minor League Report 6/2

AAA: Rochester defeated Indianapolis 5-2. 

Trevor Williams allowed five runs in five innings, walked one and struckout four. (83 pitches; 60 strikes) (5.56 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, 4.9 K/9)

Jason Rogers drove in both Indians runs. (.281 avg, .787 OPS)

Josh Bell was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. (.302 avg, .863 OPS) 

Alen Hanson also went 2-for-3 with a walk, two stolen bases and scored a run. (.245 avg, .614 OPS) 

 

AA: Altoona defeated Akron 5-4.

Clay Holmes pitched six innings, giving up two runs, walking two and striking out five. (98 pitches; 61 strikes) (4.99 ERA, 1.47 WHIP, 5.3 K/9) 

Edwin Espinal went 2-for-4 with an RBI double. (.287 avg, .700 OPS) 

Austin Meadows was also 2-for-4 with a triple, a walk and came around to score. (.289 avg, .832 OPS) 

Erich Weiss goes 2-for-5 and scored twice. (.292 avg, .829 OPS)

Jose Osuna had a pair of RBI’s and a run scored. (.246 avg, .726 OPS) 

 

High A: Bradenton defeated Palm Beach 8-3.

Colten Brewer threw five innings, as he gave up three runs, walked three and struckout five. (91 pitches; 57 strikes) (4.47 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, 8.8 K/9)

Taylor Gushue hit his fifth home run of the season. (.241 avg, .695 OPS) 

Cole Tucker drove in two runs and drew three walks. (.270 avg, .774 OPS)

Jerrick Suiter had a two-run single. (.261 avg, .645 OPS) 

Connor Joe was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored. (.238 avg, .640 OPS)

Jordan Luplow went 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored a run. (.223 avg, .664 OPS) 

 

Low A: West Virginia defeated Augusta 4-1.

Jonathan Brubaker allows just one run in six innings, walked two and had 11 strikeouts. (91 pitches; 59 strikes) (3.70 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 10.9 K/9) 

Carlos Munoz goes 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and came around to score. (.272 avg, .735 OPS)

Daniel Arribas went 2-for-4 with an RBI double. (.288 avg, .888 OPS) 

Christian Kelley was also 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. (.202 avg, .533 OPS)
