Pirates Minor League Report 5/31

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Rochester 9-3.

Chad Kuhl pitches 5.1 innings, giving up two runs, didn’t walk a batter and struckout seven. (104 pitches; 66 strikes) (1.24 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, 7.1 K/9) 

Jake Stallings blasted a pair of home runs and had seven RBI’s. (.221 avg, .619 OPS) 

Jason Rogers went 2-for-3 and hit his fourth homer of the year. (.279 avg, .779 OPS)

Willy Garcia was 2-for-4 with two doubles and scored three times. (.242 avg, .656 OPS) 

Alen Hanson goes 2-for-5 with a triple, a stolen base and came around to score. (.242 avg, .603 OPS)

 

AA: Akron defeated Altoona 11-4.

David Whitehead allowed six runs in just 3.1 innings, walked two and had three strikeouts. (83 pitches; 42 strikes) (6.28 ERA, 2.00 WHIP, 5.0 K/9)

Jose Osuna was 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and a run scored. (.252 avg, .744 OPS) 

Austin Meadows and Harold Ramirez were also 2-for-5. (Meadows: .283 avg, .795 OPS) (Ramirez: .301 avg, .773 OPS) 

Stetson Allie goes 2-for-4 with an RBI double. (.240 avg, .754 OPS)

Barrett Barnes went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk and scored a run. (.270 avg, .707 OPS) 

Reese McGuire had an RBI double. (.255 avg, .699 OPS)

 

High A: Palm Beach defeated Bradenton 3-1.

Alex McRae pitched six innings as he gave up two runs, no walks and struckout five. (86 pitches; 61 strikes) (2.51 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 4.4 K/9)

Jerrick Suiter went 2-for-4 and drove in the Marauders only run. (.261 avg, .634 OPS) 

Elvis Escobar was 2-for-3. (.252 avg, .642 OPS) 

Kevin Kramer had a double and a run scored. (.288 avg, .725 OPS)

 

Low A: West Virginia defeated Lakewood 6-1.

Mitch Keller threw six innings, allowing just one run, walked one and had six strikeouts. (83 pitches; 56 strikes) (1.89 ERA, 0.74 WHIP, 10.1 K/9)

Mitchell Tolman was 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI, a walk and scored a pair of runs. (.264 avg, .733 OPS)

Carlos Munoz goes 2-for-4 with an RBI and came around to score. (.255 avg, .684 OPS) 

Tito Polo also went 2-for-4 with a triple a stolen base and scored a run. (.303 avg, .869 OPS)
