Pirates Minor League Report 5/23

AAA: Indianapolis had a scheduled day off.

 

AA: Altoona defeated Akron 7-5.

Clay Holmes threw five innings, as he allowed three runs, walked one and struckout four. (88 pitches; 58 strikes) (5.24 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, 5.9 K/9) 

Jose Osuna had four RBI’s and was a home run shy of the cycle. (.266 avg, .757 OPS) 

Austin Meadows was 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI, a walk and scored three times. (.211 avg, .639 OPS) 

Harold Ramirez goes 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs scored. (.298 avg, .774 OPS) 

Reese McGuire went 1-for-3 and drove in a run. (.268 avg, .693 OPS) 

 

High A: Dunedin defeated Bradenton 6-2. 

Austin Coley gives up three runs (two earned) in 6.1 innings, issued one walk and had four strikeouts. (85 pitches; 64 strikes) (3.33 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 5.8 K/9) 

Taylor Gushue had three hits including his third home run of the season. (.246 avg, .670 OPS) 

Michael Suchy also collected three hits and drew a walk. (.230 avg, .662 OPS) 

Pablo Reyes goes 2-for-5 with a double. (.248 avg, .678 OPS) 

Connor Joe went 2-for-4. (.236 avg, .655 OPS) 

Kevin Newman was 1-for-5 with a double. (.352 avg, .863 OPS) 

 

Low A: Charleston defeated West Virginia 10-2.

Jonathan Brubaker lasted just two innings, allowing six runs (three earned), walked two and struckout a pair. (58 pitches; 41 strikes) (4.40 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 10.0 K/9)

Tito Polo went 2-for-3 and hit his fifth homer of the year. (.285 avg, .818 OPS) 

Ryan Nagle was 2-for-4. (.248 avg, .650 OPS) 

Christian Kelley goes 1-for-3 with an RBI double. (.196 avg, .532 OPS)
