Pirates Minor League Report 5/21

AAA: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre defeated Indianapolis 7-3. 

Chad Kuhl pitched six innings, giving up four runs (one earned), issued no walks and struckout two. (90 pitches; 60 strikes) (0.99 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, 6.4 K/9) 

Danny Ortiz was 2-for-4 with one of the hits being his fourth home run of the season. (.270 avg, .739 OPS) 

Max Moroff went 2-for-4 and hit his fourth homer of the year. (.209 avg, .705 OPS) 

Adam Frazier also goes 2-for-4 and drove in a run. (.312 avg, .767 OPS) 


AA: Altoona/Portland was postponed due to rain.


High A: Dunedin defeated Bradenton 3-1. 

Colten Brewer allowed three runs in 4.1 innings, walked four and had eight strikeouts. (95 pitches; 52 strikes) (4.46 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, 9.4 K/9) 

Elvis Escobar went 2-for-3. (.262 avg, .666 OPS) 

Jerrick Suiter goes 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored. (.264 avg, .644 OPS) 

Kevin Kramer was 1-for-3 with a free pass. (.289 avg, .719 OPS) 


Low A

Game 1: West Virginia defeated Hickory 9-4.

Mitch Keller pitches four innings, allowing two runs, didn’t walk a batter and struckout four. (73 pitches; 52 strikes) (1.40 ERA, 0.69 WHIP, 10.4 K/9) 

Carlos Munoz had two hits including a bases clearing double. (.250 avg, .704 OPS) 

Tito Polo goes 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, three RBI’s, a stolen base and scored a pair of runs. (.278 avg, .790 OPS) 

Mitchell Tolman was 2-for-4 with a double and had two runs scored. (.263 avg, .673 OPS) 

Daniel Arribas also went 2-for-4. (.259 avg, .833 OPS) 


Game 2 between West Virginia and Hickory was postponed because of rain.
