Jung-Ho Kang has Left Hand Discomfort

By Jason Shetler

The Pirates announced that Jung-Ho Kang has discomfort in his left hand and will be listed as day-to-day.

Kang had to leave Saturday’s game with the hand injury. It occurred in the fourth inning when Kang slid into home plate and made contact with Colorado Rockies catcher Tony Wolters’ shin guard. He was ruled out at the plate, even though Wolters clearly violated the “Buster Posey Rule”. Since rejoining the Pirates, Kang has posted a 1.070 OPS and has hit five home runs in 12 games played.
