Pirates Minor League Report 5/19

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Columbus 4-2. 

Jameson Taillon threw six scoreless innings, didn’t walk a batter and struckout eight. (91 pitches; 60 strikes) (1.82 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, 9.3 K/9) 

Jake Stallings had two hits, one of which was his first home run of the season. (.202 avg, .524 OPS)  

Josh Bell was 2-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs. (.274 avg, .792 OPS) 

Danny Ortiz also went 2-for-3. (.263 avg, .697 OPS) 

 

AA: Binghamton defeated Altoona 5-4.

Tyler Eppler gave up two runs in six innings, didn’t allow a walk and had three strikeouts. (90 pitches; 57 strikes) (2.74 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 5.7 K/9) 

Anderson Feliz hit his first home run of 2016. (.276 avg, .762 OPS) 

Reese McGuire went 2-for-4 with an RBI double. (.266 avg, .697 OPS) 

Austin Meadows and Harold Ramirez were 1-for-3 and each drew a pair of walks. (Meadows: .203 avg, .599 OPS) (Ramirez: .286 avg, .737 OPS) 

 

High A: Bradenton and Brevard County tied 1-1 in the ninth; Game was suspended due to rain. 

 

Low A: West Virginia defeated Hickory 7-6. 

Dario Agrazal pitched seven innings, allowing two runs, walked one and struckout three. (92 pitches; 63 strikes) (3.00 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 5.3 K/9) 

Mitchell Tolman collected three hits and drove in a run. (.254 avg, .654 OPS) 

Ryan Nagle had a two-run triple. (.235 avg, .629 OPS) 

Daniel Arribas was 2-for-2 with an RBI, two walks and scored a pair of runs. (.250 avg, .827 OPS) 

Ke’Bryan Hayes goes 2-for-5 with an RBI and also scored twice. (.300 avg, .809 OPS) 

Cole Tucker went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk and came around to score. (.222 avg, .680 OPS)
