Pirates Minor League Report 5/16

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Columbus 2-0. 

Chad Kuhl tossed seven shutout innings, walked one and fanned six. (88 pitches; 60 strikes) (0.91 ERA, 0.78 WHIP, 6.9 K/9) 

Jason Rogers was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a walk. (.288 avg, .839 OPS) 

Adam Frazier went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and scored a run. (.292 avg, .743 OPS) 

Danny Ortiz and Willy Garcia were both 1-for-3. (Ortiz: .250 avg, .681 OPS) (Garcia: .254 avg, .675 OPS) 

 

AA: Altoona had a scheduled day off. 

 

High A: Bradenton defeated Brevard County 7-5. 

Jose Regalado made a spot start for the Marauders going five innings, allowing one run (unearned), two walks and striking out two. (77 pitches; 48 strikes) (5.14 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, 6.4 K/9) 

Elvis Escobar hit his second home run of the season. (.254 avg, .661 OPS) 

Connor Joe goes 3-for-5 with a double and scored twice. (.235 avg, .653 OPS) 

Taylor Gushue had a pair of hits including an RBI triple. (.250 avg, .673 OPS) 

 

Low A: West Virginia defeated Delmarva 6-3. 

Logan Sendelbach gave up three runs in five innings of work, walked one and had one strikeout. (81 pitches; 46 strikes) (3.32 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 4.9 K/9) 

Ryan Nagle had a bases clearing double. (.241 avg, .637 OPS) 

Ke’Bryan Hayes hit his fourth homer of the year. (.304 avg, .825 OPS) 

Mitchell Tolman went 2-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and scored a pair of runs. (.255 avg, .674 OPS) 

Tito Polo was 2-for-3 with a free pass and stole a base. (.267 avg, .772 OPS) 

Christian Kelley goes 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI’s. (.188 avg, .527 OPS)
