Pirates Minor League Report 5/15

AAA: Scranton/Wilkes-Barre defeated Indianapolis 7-1. 

Wilfredo Boscan threw six innings, as he allowed five runs, walked one and struckout four. (92 pitches; 55 strikes) (2.48 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 7.0 K/9) 

Pedro Florimon went 1-for-3 and drove in the only run for the Indians. (.323 avg, .772 OPS) 

Gift Ngoepe goes 1-for-2 with a walk and came around to score. (.217 avg, .588 OPS) 

Adam Frazier was 1-for-4 with a double. (.291 avg, .732 OPS) 

 

AA: Altoona defeated Richmond 6-2. 

Brandon Waddell pitched 5.1 innings, giving up two runs, didn’t issue a walk and had four strikeouts. (89 pitches; 61 strikes) (1.51 ERA, 0.67 WHIP, 7.2 K/9) 

Jose Osuna drove in three runs. (.268 avg, .755 OPS) 

Chris Diaz was 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a run scored. (.233 avg, .643 OPS) 

Reese McGuire went 3-for-4 with a walk. (.244 avg, .659 OPS) 

Austin Meadows goes 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a walk and scored a run. (.180 avg, .485 OPS) 

 

High A: Bradenton defeated Palm Beach 3-2 in 11 innings. 

Stephen Tarpley gives up a pair of runs in six innings of work, walked two and struckout five. (73 pitches; 38 strikes) (2.70 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, 7.2 K/9) 

Logan Hill went 3-for-5 with a run scored. (.236 avg, .704 OPS) 

Michael Suchy had two hits including an RBI double and a free pass. (.228 avg, .664 OPS) 

Connor Joe was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a walk and came around to score. (.219 avg, .621 OPS) 

Tomas Morales delivered the go-ahead run for the Marauders with an RBI single in the 11th. (.333 avg, .764 OPS) 

 

Low A: Lakewood defeated West Virginia 2-1.

Mitch Keller pitches seven innings, allowing two runs, both on solo homers, no walks and had six strikeouts. (84 pitches; 59 strikes) (1.10 ERA, 0.61 WHIP, 10.5 K/9) 

Carlos Munoz and Ty Moore were both 2-for-4 with a double. (Munoz: .236 avg, .679 OPS) (Moore: .214 avg, .564 OPS) 

Tito Polo goes 1-for-5 and drove in the only Power run. (.257 avg, .753 OPS) 

Cole Tucker also went 1-for-5. (.200 avg, .560 OPS)
