Pirates Minor League Report 5/12

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Syracuse 6-3. 

Tyler Glasnow pitched five innings, allowing three runs, walked five and had only one strikeout. (98 pitches; 50 strikes) (2.13 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 11.6 K/9) 

Danny Ortiz hit his third home run of the season. (.268 avg, .730 OPS) 

Willy Garcia was 2-for-3 with an RBI double, a walk and scored a run. (.259 avg, 700 OPS) 

Adam Frazier went 2-for-5 with an RBI. (.292 avg, .736 OPS) 

Gift Ngoepe hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the ninth. (.205 avg, .560 OPS) 

 

AA: Altoona defeated Richmond 3-2. 

Cody Dickson goes 5.2 innings, as he gave up just one run, walked two and fanned six. (96 pitches; 54 strikes) (4.91 ERA, 1.73 WHIP, 6.0 K/9) 

Eric Wood had three hits including a pair of home runs. (.247 avg, 766 OPS) 

Jose Osuna went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. (.280 avg, .797 OPS) 

Harold Ramirez was 1-for-4 and also had a double. (.268 avg, .685 OPS) 

 

High A: Fort Myers defeated Bradenton 4-3.

Yeudy Garcia threw four innings, allowed one run, walked one and struckout six. (78 pitches; 51 strikes) (3.29 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, 11.3 K/9) 

Chase Simpson had two triples, a double and drove in a run. (.279 avg, .870 OPS) 

Logan Hill goes 2-for-5 and hit his second homer of the year. (.196 avg, .650 OPS) 

Jerrick Suiter went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a walk. (.259 avg, .628 OPS) 

 

Low A: Lakewood defeated West Virginia 6-4.

Jonathan Brubaker surrendered four runs in four innings of work, issued three walks and had six strikeouts. (84 pitches; 52 strikes) (3.89 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 10.5 K/9) 

Ke’Bryan Hayes had a two-run double and drew a free pass. (.313 avg, .823 OPS) 

Mitchell Tolman was 2-for-4. (.240 avg, .649 OPS) 

Casey Hughston goes 1-for-4 with a triple and came around to score. (.145 avg, .437 OPS)
