Pirates Minor League Report 5/4

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Durham 6-0. 

Wilfredo Boscan tossed six scoreless innings, didn’t walk a batter and struckout four. (68 pitches; 48 strikes) (1.61 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 7.4 K/9)

Cory Luebke pitched three shutout innings and picked up the save. (51 pitches; 34 strikes) 

Alen Hanson was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and scored twice. (.304 avg, .743 OPS) 

Gift Ngoepe had an RBI double and came around to score. (.200 avg, .519 OPS) 

Max Moroff goes 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and stole two bases. (.222 avg, .766 OPS) 

 

AA: Altoona defeated Erie 4-2. 

Brandon Waddell threw 6.1 innings, allowed two runs, no walks and had three strikeouts in his Curve debut. (89 pitches; 64 strikes) (1.27 ERA, 0.59 WHIP, 7.4 K/9)

Jose Osuna collected three hits and scored a run. (.273 avg, .789 OPS) 

Jonathan Schwind went 2-for-4 came across the plate. (.310 avg, .773 OPS) 

Erich Weiss drove in a pair of runs. (.280 avg, .842 OPS) 

Harold Ramirez was 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. (.244 avg, .643 OPS) 

 

High A: Bradenton/St. Lucie was postponed due to rain. 

 

Low A: West Virginia defeated Charleston 3-2 in 10 innings. 

Mitch Keller gave up only one run in seven innings, walked one and struckout six. (86 pitches; 57 strikes) (0.96 ERA, 0.61 WHIP, 10.9 K/9) 

Ke’Bryan Hayes hit his second homer of the season. (.333 avg, .835 OPS) 

Christian Kelley goes 1-for-3 with an RBI single and a walk. (.193 avg, .503 OPS) 

Ryan Nagle went 1-for-4 with a double. (.262 avg, .673 OPS)
