Pirates Minor League Report 5/3

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Durham 1-0 in 12 innings. 

Jameson Taillon threw seven shutout innings, walked one and had three strikeouts. He retired 16 batters in a row at one point. (89 pitches; 58 strikes) (1.19 ERA, 0.76 WHIP, 7.8 K/9)

Adam Frazier had two hits including the game-winning RBI in the 12th inning. (.312 avg, .822 OPS)  

Willy Garcia went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk. (.238 avg, .669 OPS) 

Josh Bell was 3-for-5. (.318 avg, .920 OPS)

Jung-Ho Kang goes 1-for-4. 

 

AA: Erie defeated Altoona 14-0.

David Whitehead surrendered ten runs (six earned) in 4.2 innings, walked three and struckout a pair. (91 pitches; 54 strikes) (5.64 ERA, 2.10 WHIP, 5.7 K/9) 

Harold Ramirez collected three hits. (.244 avg, .650 OPS) 

Stetson Allie was 1-for-2 and walked twice. (.282 avg, .831 OPS) 

Austin Meadows goes 1-for-4. (.167 avg, .435 OPS) 

Anderson Feliz went 1-for-5 with a double. (.262 avg, .689 OPS) 

 

High A: Bradenton defeated St. Lucie 5-1.

Alex McRae pitched six innings, allowing just one run, walked one and got two strikeouts. (83 pitches; 50 strikes) (2.61 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 3.2 K/9) 

Jerrick Suiter had a four hit game with an RBI and scored a run. (.233 avg, .555 OPS) 

Elvis Escobar picked up two hits, one of which was a two-run triple. (.256 avg, .674 OPS)

Connor Joe went 1-for-3 and hit his first home run of the season. (.220 avg, .626 OPS) 

 

Low A: West Virginia had a scheduled day off.
