Pirates Minor League Report 4/24

AAA: Durham defeated Indianapolis 6-1. 

Wilfredo Boscan allowed one run in four innings, walked two and struckout five. (85 pitches; 53 strikes) (2.65 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 7.4 K/9) 

Jared Hughes went two innings and gave up two runs in his final rehab outing. 

Cory Luebke also pitched two innings, giving up three runs in his second rehab appearance. 

Josh Bell had the only Indians run with an RBI single. (.321 avg, 1.014 OPS) 

Jung-Ho Kang drew a walk as a pinch-hitter.


AA: Altoona defeated Richmond 2-1. 

Clay Holmes goes six innings, allowing just one, issued two walks and had one strikeout. (85 pitches; 54 strikes) (4.29 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, 4.3 K/9) 

Chris Diaz drove in the two runs for the Curve. (.190 avg, .568 OPS) 

Reese McGuire and Erich Weiss both went 2-for-4. (McGuire: .286 avg, .781 OPS) (Weiss: .357 avg, 1.009 OPS) 

Eric Wood walked three times. (.213 avg, .687 OPS) 


High A: St. Lucie defeated Bradenton 5-1. 

Colten Brewer threw five innings, as he gave up five runs (four earned), walking two and striking out five. (82 pitches; 54 strikes) (3.60 ERA, 1.70 WHIP, 8.6 K/9) 

Pablo Reyes had the Marauders lone run with an RBI sac fly. (.280 avg, .802 OPS) 

Tomas Morales was 2-for-3 with a double and came around to score. (.333 avg, .792 OPS)


Low A: Lexington defeated West Virginia 11-10. 

Bret Helton pitches 5.2 innings, as he allowed three runs, walked a pair and struckout four. (91 pitches; 54 strikes) (4.67 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 7.4 K/9) 

Ryan Nagle went 3-for-4 with a couple of run scoring doubles. (.288 avg, .721 OPS) 

Mitchell Tolman also collected three hits with a double, an RBI, a walk and a run scored. (.266 avg, .740 OPS) 

Carlos Munoz was 2-for-6 with a double, two RBI’s and scored two runs (.237 avg, .722 OPS) 

Daniel Arribas goes 2-for-3 with a triple and came around to score twice. (.222 avg, .830 OPS) 

Tyler Filliben hit a two-run homer for his first of the season. (.188 avg, .572 OPS)
