Pirates Minor League Report 4/23

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Louisville 1-0. 

Jameson Taillon goes six scoreless innings, didn’t walk a batter and fanned six. (88 pitches; 62 strikes) (1.65 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, 8.9 K/9) 

Danny Ortiz had the only run of the game with an RBI double. (.250 avg, .661 OPS) 

Josh Bell went 2-for-4 with a double and came around to score. (.308 avg, 1.016 OPS) 

Jung-Ho Kang was 1-for-4. 


AA: Altoona defeated Richmond 4-3. 

Jason Creasy gave up just one in six innings of work, no walks and struckout four. (88 pitches; 60 strikes) (4.50 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 4.5 K/9) 

Stetson Allie hit a two-run homer, his second of the season. (.275 avg, .852 OPS) 

Barrett Barnes was 2-for-3. (.222 avg, .595 OPS) 

Jose Osuna went 2-for-4. (.273 avg, .807 OPS) 

Jin-De Jhang goes 1-for-3 with an RBI. (.304 avg, .751 OPS) 


High A: Bradenton defeated St. Lucie 9-4.

Brandon Waddell pitched seven innings, allowed only one run, didn’t issue a free pass and had six strikeouts. (86 pitches; 55 strikes) (1.17 ERA, 0.57 WHIP, 7.4 K/9) 

Pablo Reyes collected three doubles and three RBI’s. (.298 avg, .858 OPS) 

Chase Simpson delivered a bases clearing triple. (.176 avg, .653 OPS) 

Taylor Gushue had a two-run home run. (.349 avg, 1.000 OPS) 


Low A: West Virginia defeated Lexington 5-1. 

Logan Sendelbach threw six innings, giving up one run, walked one and recorded four strikeouts. (75 pitches; 50 strikes) (1.71 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 5.1 K/9) 

Daniel Arribas blasted his third homer of the season. (.196 avg, .759 OPS) 

Alfredo Reyes and Mitchell Tolman each hit their first home runs of the year. (Reyes: .273 avg, .792 OPS) (Tolman: .233 avg, .670 OPS) 

Ke’Bryan Hayes went 1-for-4 and drove in a run. (.393 avg, .962 OPS)
