Pirates Minor League Report 4/18

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Toledo 4-2. 

Jameson Taillon threw 4.1 innings, gave up two runs, didn’t issue a free pass and struckout four. (89 pitches; 62 strikes)  (2.61 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 8.9 K/9) 

Jung-Ho Kang played the first game of his rehab assignment going 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Josh Bell had a two-run double. (.233 avg, .795 OPS)

Jake Stallings drove in a pair of runs. (.167 avg, .333 OPS) 

Jason Rogers was 2-for-4 and scored a run. (.355 avg, .956 OPS) 

 

AA: Altoona defeated Harrisburg 12-5. 

Jason Creasy allowed five runs in five innings, walked two and had four strikeouts (89 pitches; 60 strikes) (6.19 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 3.9 K/9) 

Chris Diaz went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and four RBI’s. (.250 avg, .739 OPS) 

Reese McGuire was also 2-for-5 including a three-run blast, his first of the season. (.308 avg, .916 OPS) 

Erich Weiss goes 2-for-3 with a solo home run (.297 avg, .921 OPS) 

Harold Ramirez had a bases clearing triple (.179 avg, .502 OPS) 

 

High A: Bradenton defeated Lakeland 4-2. 

Brandon Waddell went five innings, giving up a pair of runs, walked one and fanned six (85 pitches; 54 strikes) (1.13 ERA, 0.63 WHIP, 7.3 K/9) 

Pablo Reyes hit his second homer of the year. (.296 avg, .900 OPS) 

Kevin Newman drove in two runs. (.357 avg, .833 OPS) 

Elvis Escobar was 2-for-4 with a double and came around to score. (.189 avg, .574 OPS) 

Jerrick Suiter goes 2-for-3 with a walk. (.146 avg, .380 OPS) 

 

Low A: West Virginia defeated Kannapolis 8-7 in 16 innings. 

Logan Sendelbach pitched 5.1 innings, allowing just one run, didn’t walk a batter and struckout three. (87 pitches; 55 strikes)  (1.80 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 4.8 K/9) 

Ke’Bryan Hayes went 4-for-6 including his first pro ball home run and five RBI’s. (.415 avg, 1.076 OPS) 

Mitchell Tolman also collected four hits, two of which were doubles.  (.227 avg, .624 OPS) 

Tito Polo was 3-for-9 and scored a pair of runs. He’s currently on a ten game hitting streak. (.348 avg, .931 OPS) 

Carlos Munoz had a two-run double and walked three times. (.222 avg, .641 OPS)
