Pirates Minor League Report 4/16

AAA: Columbus defeated Indianapolis 2-1. 

Tyler Glasnow threw five innings, as he gave up a run, didn’t walk a batter and racked up nine strikeouts. (83 pitches; 53 strikes)

Danny Ortiz connected on his first home run and also doubled. 

Willy Garcia was 1-for-4 with a double. 

Max Moroff drew two walks. 


AA: Altoona defeated Richmond 3-0. 

Cody Dickson pitches five scoreless innings, allowed three walks and struckout a pair. (79 pitches; 41 strikes) 

Stetson Allie delivered a go-ahead three-run triple in the ninth.

Jonathan Schwind went 2-for-4.

Eric Wood goes 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and scored a run.


High A: Lakeland defeated Bradenton 7-4. 

Austin Coley pitched just 3.1 innings, giving up six runs (five earned), walked two and had three strikeouts. (71 pitches; 42 strikes) 

Kevin Newman had three hits, stole a base and came around to score.

Jordan Luplow was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and scored a run. 

Pablo Reyes hit his first homer of the season.

Michael Suchy drove in a run on a double. 

Kevin Kramer went 1-for-3 with a free pass and had a run scored. 



Low A: West Virginia defeated Lexington 7-2.

Mitch Keller tossed five shutout innings, struckout three and didn’t allow a walk. 

Casey Hughston went 2-for-3 including his second home run of the year.

Christian Kelley drove in a pair of runs. 

Tito Polo goes 2-for-4 with an RBI single. 

Ryan Nagle also went 2-for-4 and scored twice. 

Carlos Munoz had a double, two walks, and scored two runs.
