Pirates Minor League Report 4/15

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Columbus 3-2 in 11 innings. 

Chad Kuhl goes 4.2 innings, allowing two runs with one walk and three strikeouts in his season debut. (81 pitches; 54 strikes) 

Josh Bell hit his first home run of the year. 

Dan Gamache was 1-for-2 and walked twice. 

Adam Frazier and Max Moroff also drew a pair of walks. 

Danny Ortiz delivered a walkoff RBI single in the 11th. 


AA: Richmond defeated Altoona 3-2. 

Tyler Eppler allowed just one run in six innings, didn’t walk a batter and struckout six. He retired 14 batters in a row at one point. (85 pitches; 59 strikes)

Chris Diaz went 2-for-4 and stole a base.

Jose Osuna and Stetson Allie were each 1-for-4 and drove in the two Curve runs. 

Harold Ramirez also goes 1-for-4 and scored a run. 


High A: Lakeland defeated Bradenton 8-4.

Yeudy Garcia lasted only three innings, as he gave up three runs, walked two and fanned six. (73 pitches; 45 strikes) 

Jordan Luplow was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. 

Pablo Reyes went 2-for-3 with an RBI, a walk and a run scored. 

Elvis Escobar and Tomas Morales were both 2-for-4. 

Chase Simpson and Kevin Newman each went 1-for-4.


Low A: West Virginia defeated Lexington 6-5 in 10 innings. 

Dario Agrazal surrendered five runs in five innings, no walks and three strikeouts (68 pitches; 50 strikes) 

Casey Hughston collected three hits with an RBI and scored twice. 

Ty Moore drove in three runs. 

Daniel Arribas was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and had three runs scored.

Ryan Nagle had two hits including the game-winning RBI in the tenth.
