Pirates Minor League Report 4/14

AAA: Indianapolis defeated Columbus 5-1. 

Wilfredo Boscan tossed six scoreless innings, walked one and struckout three. (80 pitches; 50 strikes) 

Gift Ngoepe went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and scored twice. 

Alen Hanson was 2-for-4 including an RBI triple. 

Dan Gamache had two hits, one of which was a run scoring double. He also drew two walks. 

Adam Frazier drove in a run and stole a base. 

Josh Bell goes 1-for-3 with a walk. 

 

AA: Richmond defeated Altoona 2-1. 

Clay Holmes gave up just one run in six innings of work, allowed one walk and had five strikeouts. (79 pitches; 51 strikes) 

Harold Ramirez had the only Curve run with an RBI double.

Reese McGuire was 1-for-4 with a double. 

Chris Diaz goes 1-for-3 and scored a run. 

Jose Osuna also went 1-for-3 and had a free pass. 

 

High A: Tampa defeated Bradenton 5-3. 

Colten Brewer pitched five innings, allowing five runs (only two earned), walked a pair and struckout three. (79 pitches; 45 strikes) 

Chase Simpson collected two hits, which included a double. 

Tomas Morales went 1-for-4 and drove in a run. 

Kevin Kramer was also 1-for-4 and had a stolen base. 

Michael Suchy drew a pair of walks. 

 

Low A: West Virginia defeated Lexington 5-0. 

Bret Helton pitches six shutout innings, struckout five and gave up just one walk. 

Christian Kelley had a two-run double and came around to score.

Ke’Bryan Hayes goes 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Alfredo Reyes delivered an RBI triple and also had a walk. 

Carlos Munoz and Mitchell Tolman each had RBI singles. 

Tito Polo went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and scored a run.
