Trevor Williams Leaves Game with Shoulder Discomfort

By Jason Shetler

Pirates Prospects is reporting that Trevor Williams had to leave his start for AAA Indianapolis with shoulder discomfort.

Indianapolis played a doubleheader on Sunday against the Columbus Clippers, and had Williams making the start in Game 2. He left that game after throwing just nine pitches in the first inning. Williams was acquired by the Pirates from the Miami Marlins this past offseason. He’s currently ranked the 24th best prospect in the system according to MLB Pipeline.
