By Jason Shetler

According to John Dreker of Pirates Prospects, minor league outfielder Enyel Vallejo has been released by the organization.

The Pirates signed Vallejo out of the Dominican Republic in 2012. He began his pro debut in 2013 with the Gulf Coast League Pirates. Vallejo is 25 years old, so he was organizational depth. During his three seasons in the system, he posted just a .305 on base percentage and had an extremely poor walk rate of 2.6%.
