Pirates Spring Training Report 3/20

Following a rainout on Saturday, the Pirates faced the Toronto Blue Jays today in Dunedin, and lost by a 3-2 final. 

A.J. Schugel made the start going two innings and allowed two runs on a home run from Troy Tulowitzki.

Arquimedes Caminero tossed a couple of shutout innings.

Cory Luebke allowed a run in the fifth. 

Rob Scahill, Curtis Partch and Guido Knudson all pitched a scoreless inning.

Andrew McCutchen hit a two-run homer, his fourth long ball of the Spring.

Starling Marte was 3-for-4. 

John Jaso walked three times. 

Michael Morse, Josh Harrison and Jordy Mercer each went 1-for-4.

The Pirates will have their first split squad tomorrow. One team will be in Bradenton to host the Atlanta Braves while the other will travel to Fort Myers to take on the Minnesota Twins. Both games are scheduled for 1:05 ET.
