On Friday, Baseball America released their rankings of the Top 100 corner outfield prospects. Austin Meadows, Harold Ramirez and Willy Garcia are on the list. Not only did all three make the Top 100, but they were listed in the Top 50.
Meadows is ranked the second best corner outfielder. The 20-year-old Georgia native batted .310 along with a .781 OPS and stole 21 bases combined for High A Bradenton and AA Altoona last season. Meadows will return to Altoona to begin 2016.
Ramirez is just outside the Top 10 at #12. Last year, Ramirez was excellent against Florida State League pitching, as he hit .337 while posting an .857 OPS and stealing 22 bases for Bradenton. He’ll start off this season with Altoona.
Garcia’s ranking is at #37. The 23-year-old spent 2015 with both Altoona and Indianapolis, hitting .275 with a .746 OPS. His very strong arm was on display, as he combined for 18 outfield assists. Garcia will be with Indianapolis to begin this season.
