MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo recently did a survey that involved voting from front office executives, general managers and scouting directors on who are the top position player and pitching prospects in baseball right now. Pirates #1 prospect Tyler Glasnow was voted the third best pitching prospect. Lucas Giolito (Nationals) and Blake Snell (Rays) finished ahead of him in the voting.

Glasnow continued his dominance in 2015. Despite a DL stint in May due to an ankle injury, he posted a 2.43 ERA along with a WHIP of 0.95 in 12 starts for AA Altoona. Glasnow was promoted to AAA Indianapolis on July 28th where he had a 2.20 ERA in eight starts. Combined with the two affiliates, he held opponents to a .201 average while striking out batters at a clip of 11.1.
