The Pirates have announced that outfielder Jaff Decker as been optioned back to AAA Indianapolis as the corresponding move for Michael Morse, who the Pirates acquired at the trade deadline.
Decker was called by the Pirates a few weeks ago to serve as an extra outfielder. The 25-year-old lefty bat played in nine games for the Bucs, posting a .368 on base percentage, thanks in large part to his impressive ability to draw walks. Decker should be recalled to Pittsburgh come September when the roster expands.
