Jung-Ho Kang has been named the National League Rookie of the Month for July.

Kang has taken over as the primary shortstop with the injury to Jordy Mercer, and has really taken advantage of the opportunity, as he batted .379 along with a 1.064 OPS in July. Overall this year, Kang is putting up terrific numbers in his first Major League season, hitting .284 with an .821 OPS, a 130 OPS+ and a 3.5 WAR in 88 games played.
