Clay Holmes Makes His Bradenton Debut on Friday

According to Pirates Prospects John Dreker, pitcher Clay Holmes will make his Bradenton Marauders debut on Friday. 

Just like Jameson Taillon, Holmes missed all of 2014 recovering from Tommy John surgery. He was the Pirates ninth round selection in the 2011 MLB Draft. Prior to the elbow injury, Holmes posted a 3.18 ERA, a 1.28 WHIP and a .208 batting average against in 39 games pitched. Entering this season, he was rated the Pirates 20th best prospect according to MLB.com.
